Hello and Welcome!

OK. This is new for me. I have never had a blog before. Deep breath. Prepare fingers. Here goes.
So, doing a bit of after-school fiddling with things with a friend of mine, and this blog is the result of said fiddlng.  Hello readers, this is me. Ari. Short for Ariadne, but everyone calls me Ari. I have a list of nicknames, some of which I'm fine with and others you'd better make sure I'm in a very good mood before using them.
(That's why I'm not going to list them.)
When coming up with a name for this blog, I was hoping to have some play on 'half', and had spent time looking up a suitable word to use instead of half (long story. I'll explan later). Unfortuantely a) my first idea got shot down in flames and b) the only suitable words for 'half' in the context I was lookng for (a suffix, like 'half-open') were hemi, semi and demi. Ah. Bummer. None of the inspired me really (apart from the last one. That was the one that got shot down in flames.)
I ended up picking Blog From the Blue as a play on Bolt From the Blue. To be honest I've had too many bolts from that particular direction this year. That's another long story for later (mainly because I don't really feel like talking about it right now, actually).
